Open Sky School organised OSMUN – Prarambh 2026, its Model United Nations Conference, on 22 August 2026. The conference provided students of Classes VIII to XI with an engaging platform to experience the functioning of international and national decision-making bodies while developing skills in research, critical thinking, public speaking, diplomacy, negotiation, leadership and problem-solving.
The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation, with approximately 30 plus delegates in each committee. Students represented different countries and political perspectives and actively participated in formal discussions, moderated caucuses and deliberations on contemporary issues.
The conference encouraged students to step beyond textbook learning and apply their knowledge through research, articulation of ideas, negotiation and collaborative problem-solving. The proceedings provided a meaningful exposure to parliamentary and diplomatic procedures and helped students build confidence in expressing their views.
The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony at AshaDeep Mandapam, where the efforts and participation of the delegates were acknowledged.
It was a valuable learning experience that successfully fostered an environment of informed discussion, diplomacy and leadership, marking a significant beginning to the MUN culture at Open Sky School.
